Homework Policy

Most assignments should be completed in class. If not, it may be necessary to complete at home. *This makes up the vast majority of my homework.

I do not assign homework for the sake of  homework.

Most of my homework is optional and student driven (for example, do you need/want more math review and practice? Then see the math videos and worksheet links on the math blog). 

As per SCDSB:

Types of homework include:

• Completion: any work assigned during the school day not completed in class;

• Practice: any work that reinforces skills and provides an opportunity for application of concepts taught in class;

• Preparation: any work that prepares students for upcoming lessons;

• Extension: any work that explores and refines learning in new contexts or integrates and expands classroom learning.
